About the designer/writer
I'm Maria Dietrich. I listen and look for the right tone in all I do. Throughout 15 years* with the Green Lake Festival of Music, I served as art director and head writer for all of the Festival’s publications. I've edited the bios of countless musicians and cast a critical eye over reams of promo packets. I've experienced how good design can reinforce the image an artist wants to project and how bad design — or garbled writing or sketchy grammar — can drag it down.
My non-profit experience makes me sensitive to the mission of an organization. I can help you further that mission and make the best use of your marketing dollars by helping you get your message across efficiently and creatively. Good design doesn't have to cost a fortune.
I enjoy looking at slick ads in big-budget magazines, but I also love seeing smart, clever pieces done on a shoestring. Dynamic design, solid writing, appropriate typography — all work together to clarify your message and give your product credibility in the marketplace.
